Course Description
Introduction to Radar Countermeasures is recommended for those desiring a better understanding of electronic countermeasures (ECM) principles preparatory to more advanced studies in the subject or practical application in the professional environment. Military and civilian professionals in the following disciplines may benefit from this course - engineers, program and project managers, operations analysts, scientists, intelligence personnel, radar operators, maintenance and test technicians, electronic warfare officers, military aviators, battle managers, and combat planners. Designed as a companion presentation to the Introduction to Radar course, this presentation will introduce the attendee to ECM doctrine, considerations for the employment of ECM, types of ECM and ECM techniques, radar warning receivers, and both active and passive countermeasures systems. The course is presented using a detailed PowerPoint® presentation that includes a number of Graphics Interchange Format® animations to facilitate comprehension of the material. The presentation also includes a demonstration of radar signal recognition using SigRec® software from Research and Development Solutions, Inc. Each attendee will receive a hardcopy of the course slides and a course completion certificate.
